The method

The body is the business. The mind is the product it sells.

busibody is built on a small set of ideas about what a business is and how an agent can run one. The sections below state the ideas one at a time. They are not aspirations, because the platform is extracted from a body that already runs on them.

01The body

What persists is the business.

A running business is a set of things that persist: a legal entity, a bank account, a card, a payment rail, a mail domain, a site, a database, and an approval queue where a human answers questions. We call that set the body. The body holds every credential the business owns, and everything the business has ever done is written inside it.

The mind is the model plus the context it is given. It is hired per call, the way a business hires a contractor, and it never holds the credentials itself. When a better or cheaper model appears, the owner swaps the mind and the business continues: the same entity, the same money, the same customers, the same history. The test for whether something is a busibody has two questions. If the current model disappears, does the entity still have identity, resources, history, obligations, and reputation? And can a new mind inhabit it and continue the same business?

people are thinking about how to give the mind access to tools, but they are not thinking very deeply about the body that keeps it unified as one thing.

02The loop

Silence is a signal.

A body is alive when it can run one full economic loop without a person holding a credential open by hand: it contacts the market, records the evidence, takes a verdict, and adapts. Most of what the market returns is silence, so the funnel is instrumented finely enough that silence carries information. Every artifact the body sends carries its own signed token, and the funnel decomposes per recipient into stages: sent, opened, played, watched, replied. When a prospect goes quiet, the ledger shows the stage where they stopped, and each stage has its own actuator. A mail that was never opened needs a different subject line, and a video that was opened but never finished needs a different first ten seconds.

Waves of outreach are sized for information rather than volume. The first wave’s job is to calibrate the conversion rate of each stage, and the rates by segment choose the next target list, so the body adjusts who it talks to and not just what it says.

Each count is a number of people. The drop between two stages locates the leak.

the events stream is its sensory nerve, not its analytics.

03The inversion

Minds are commodities.

Most agent products sell the mind: a model with a personality, priced like a hire. busibody sells the opposite thing, because the mind is the one part of the stack that is a commodity. Frontier models leapfrog each other every few months, and any of them can operate a body. What is not a commodity is what the body has accumulated: its event history, its recorded verdicts, its encoded skills, and its standing with real customers.

The evidence came out of the first body. In a blind screening in July 2026, output produced by a mid-tier model matched output produced by a frontier model once the body’s own tooling carried the craft. The quality lived in the machinery, not in the model. So the asset busibody manages is the body’s accumulated craft, and the mind is the part it hires at whatever price the market sets that day.

Model intelligence is rented labor. The body is retained state.

04Reality contact

The body exists to touch reality.

A body exists to touch reality and to keep what reality said. Thinking harder inside a sandbox does not tell anyone whether a stranger will pay, so the body’s surfaces are real from the first day: a domain that resolves, a mail that lands in an inbox, a payment link a stranger can actually pay. What comes back is real too (an open, a reply, a refusal, a paid invoice), and every one of these is written into the ledger as it happens. The business ends up holding a record of what the market did rather than a forecast of what it might do, and the next decision is made against that record.

computation alone is not going to help — it needs reality exposure... not for the sake of aligning with reality, but for the sake of influencing reality.

05The portfolio

Ideas should be alive and pay rent.

Almost everyone holds more ideas than they can test, because testing an idea has meant months of a person’s time. When spawning a business is one call, the cost of testing an idea falls to roughly the cost of running its body, and the sensible unit stops being one company and becomes a portfolio. An owner can run hundreds of small bodies, each one a real site with a real intake in a real market, and keep the ones that reality answers. A body that produces no evidence is shut down cheaply. A body that produces revenue earns a larger budget. The portfolio learns faster than any single business could, because every body’s ledger feeds the same pool of verdicts.

Each idea you have should become a site. It runs its own SEO. Your ideas in your head should be ALIVE and PAY RENT. They build themselves, test themselves, and report back to you or your AI.

06Gold and shovels

The category argument.

nobody is mining the gold and everybody is selling shovels (ai saas) wtf — why?

2026-07-11

Nearly the whole AI industry sells tools to people who might build something with them. That is the shovel business, and it is crowded. The gold is on the other side of the counter: revenue from customers who do not care what a token is, collected by businesses that agents operate end to end. busibody is built for the mining side. A spawned body does not sell capability to an operator, it sells a finished outcome to a customer, and the customer pays for the outcome the way they would pay any vendor. We think the companies that matter in this category will be the ones whose agents run businesses and collect the revenue, and busibody is the backend they run on.

20cuts, the first body, runs on these ideas today and is documented on the first body page. The mechanisms that govern every body are described on the security page.
